In the heart of Stavros, where Ithaca breathes authenticity, “O Kanenas” invites you to experience a gastronomic journey that blends taste, tradition, and warm hospitality. Owners Marinos and Afroditi have created a space infused with the island’s essence, where every dish is crafted with care and fresh local ingredients.
On their menu, you’ll discover tserepa chicken, slow-cooked in a clay pot just like in the old days; stewed wild goat from Exogi; savóro that awakens memories of the sea; and Mount Athos-style sourdough bread, ready to be dipped into Ithaca’s golden olive oil. All dishes are prepared with aromatic island herbs and without heavy spices, allowing you to savour the purest taste of Ithaca.
The experience is completed with Lysiponon wine from Perachori, a rich selection of white and red wines, as well as traditional house wines from Lafazanis and Zita, perfectly paired with every dish.
